        Ranu Kumbolo menjadi satu dari sekian banyak tempat cantik yang bisa ditemukan dalam perjalanan menelusuri jalur pendakian menuju puncak Gunung Semeru. Danau ini berada di ketinggian mencapai 2.389 mdpl dengan suhu yang sangat dingin. Secara khusus, Ranu Kumbolo menjadi tempat yang menyuguhkan pemandangan matahari terbit yang sangat memukau, dengan posisi matahari terlihat di antara 2 bukit yang bersebelahan.
